We hope you are having a fabulous new year!  For those of you who are not familiar with the Hutto Education Foundation, Inc., here is an introduction to our mission.  As you know, Hutto has been pegged the ‘Fastest Growing City in America.’  

MISSION:
The HEF  is a 501(c)3 organization originated for the purpose of educational support.  The Foundation develops and allocates resources to the Hutto Independent School District and various student organizations to enrich, enhance, and maximize the quality of education available to our students.  

Funding of these resources would not be possible through regular budgetary allocations.   The development of various grants to be provided by HEF will enable educators to obtain training, professional development, programs or materials to implement innovative programs or techniques.  The main objective of these grants is to enrich and enhance education possibilities.

We are currently working on developing programs and grants for 2009.  Some potential programs include Partners in Education, annual school supply drive, annual gala,  5K after hours, a community spelling bee and more.  

Our first objective is to obtain and recognize potential founders as we undergo our Founders Drive, which has been extended to March 30, 2009.  Our goal is to obtain $50,000 in contributions.  So far, we have obtained over $20,000!  The top 100 founders will be recognized and displayed on a plaque in the Hutto I.S.D. board room.  We encourage you to invest in excellence through time, talent or treasure.  Many thanks to all our HEF current founders  and especially to our Level Sponsors!
